New Year’s resolutions are usually about saving money, getting healthy or helping to make the world a better place. The Environmental Working Group came up with the perfect resolution that does all three: Give up bottled water and drink filtered tap water instead.

We hope you’ll join us by making your New Year’s resolution (even if you already have one) to be bottled-water-free and make 2011 the year of healthier and cheaper water. By signing their pledge you’ll receive important alerts and tools to help you maintain your bottle-free life and get others on board as well.

In their most recent study on bottled water consumption, EWG found that in the last five years, US consumption of bottled water increased by 24 percent and bottled water sales have more than quadrupled in the last 20 years.

We need your voice to reverse this trend. Bottled water can cost up to 1,900 times more than tap water, but according to the EWG 2011 Bottled Water Scorecard, most companies refuse to fully answer basic questions such as where their water comes from, what contaminants they found in it or whether it’s been treated.

The good news about tap water is that we know what’s in it. The bad news is that sometimes what’s in it is not good for us. That’s why we recommend drinking filtered tap water, so you can be sure you and your family are getting the best water possible.

What if your neighbors, your employer and your favorite restaurants don’t have filtered tap water? Just ask! Tell your friends, your boss and your restaurant manager about the benefits of avoiding those plastic bottles and choosing the right filter to purify tap water instead. It’s all about making positive change in our communities.
Multi-Pure Filtration Systerm is NSF Certified and reduce more contaminants than any other filter.
